If your dream is to have a toned lean dancer’s body, well you have to train like one. This “à la barre” workout delivers results and is so much fun, you might never want to step foot in the gym ever again. Barre Fit targets all the problem areas women want to tone… thighs, butt, abs and arms! You don’t need to be a ballerina to enjoy this class but if you are a retired dancer, you will be transported back in time to the days spent practicing développés, retirés, demi-pliés and grands battements! Barre Fit program includes a floor warm-up, ballet inspired barre exercises to tone legs and butt, UGI ball to sculpt lower and upper body and mat pilates style floorwork to flatten the belly and strengthen lower back. Final stretches to cool down and lengthen the muscles are performed at the barre to complete this 60 minute session. WARNING: Barre Fit will change your body appearance and improve your posture. BYO yoga mat.

Yin based yoga class including a 15 min meditation period at the end of the practice. Yin yoga targets the connective tissues, such as the ligaments, bones and the joints of the body that normally are not exercised as much in a more active style of asana practice. All the poses are practiced sitting, kneeling or laying down and can be quite challenging due to the long duration of each pose. Suitable for all levels of students, Yin yoga is a perfect complement to our other programs. You may want to wear socks and warmer attire for this class. BYO yoga mat. Meditation cushion is optional.

Full body, non impact, barefoot workout. Class starts with a warm-up, a 30min UGI FIt segment followed with some  pilates matwork exercises. A peaceful yoga inspired stretch completes each session. By exercising barefoot, you can actually promote your sense of balance, improve muscle alignment, reduce orthopedic pains, and lessen the chance of injury. Most podiatrists recommend integrating barefoot exercises into your routine, whether you’re someone with lower back pain or flat feet, whether you’re a women wearing high heels or an athlete, barefoot training can help you improve feet and body biomechanics. It is questioned if hi-tech shoes give us too much cushioning and support, weakening the muscles and making the foot and ankle “lazy”. That said, it is important to check with your physician if you have any physical ailments before you decide to workout barefoot. BYO yoga mat.
